Daniel Ricciardo Is Selling His Lantana Purple McLaren 720S Spider

Jul 29, 2023

Daniel Ricciardo's McLaren 720S Spider has been driven 6,749 miles and has various carbon fiber upgrades

Daniel Ricciardo appears to be getting rid of every trace of his dismal time racing for the McLaren Formula 1 team and is looking to part ways with his 720S Spider.

The Australian's car has been listed up for sale through McLaren New Forest in the UK and has an asking price of £217,450 (~$272,000). The listing states that Ricciardo drove the car throughout the 2022 season but doesn't mention whether he actually purchased the car with his own money, or was gifted it by McLaren. Whatever the case may be, it needs a new home.

Adorning the exterior of the mid-engined supercar is a stunning color known as Lantana Purple. Complementing the paint are a set of 19-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels with a gunmetal grey design and paired with bright yellow brake calipers.

A plethora of options packages have also been fitted to the car. These include the Performance Plus Pack, Convenience Pack, Exterior Carbon Fiber Upgrade Pack 1, Interior Carbon Fiber Pack 3, electric and heated memory seats, and 360 parking assist. It also still has 12 months left of manufacturer warranty and has only been driven 6,749 miles (10,861 km).

While the McLaren 720S was recently replaced by the 750S, it remains one of the fastest and most well-rounded supercars launched in the past decade. Driving it is a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 with a claimed 710 hp and 568 lb-ft (770 Nm) of torque. However, dyno tests conducted in the past have routinely shown that it pumps out much more than the spec sheet would suggest. And what better way to enjoy that performance than with the top down and the wind in your hair?
