The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the global exports attained the maximum at $X in 2022, and then dropped in the following year.

China was the key exporting country with an export of around X tons, which accounted for X% of total exports. Belgium (X tons) took the second position in the ranking, followed by Taiwan (Chinese) (X tons). All these countries together took near X% share of total exports. The following exporters - the Czech Republic (X tons), Germany (X tons), Spain (X tons), India (X tons), Latvia (X tons), Hungary (X tons), Mexico (X tons), France (X tons) and Belarus (X tons) - together made up X% of total exports.

From 2012 to 2023, average annual rates of growth with regard to glass fibre fabrics exports from China stood at X%. At the same time, India (X%), Hungary (X%), Latvia (X%), Mexico (X%), Spain (X%) and the Czech Republic (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, India emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the world, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2023. Belgium, France and Germany experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, Belarus (X%) and Taiwan (Chinese) (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of China (X p.p.) and India (X p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the global exports from 2012-2023, the share of Belgium (X p.p.), Germany (X p.p.) and Taiwan (Chinese) (X p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, China ($X) remains the largest glass fibre fabrics supplier worldwide, comprising X% of global exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Germany ($X), with a X% share of global exports. It was followed by Taiwan (Chinese), with a X% share.

From 2012 to 2023, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in China totaled X%. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Germany (X% per year) and Taiwan (Chinese) (X% per year).

In 2023, the average glass fibre fabrics export price amounted to $X per ton, remaining constant against the previous year. In general, the export price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $X per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2023, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was France ($X per ton), while Belarus ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of X% over the period from 2012 to 2023; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of X% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. From 2022 to 2023, the growth of global imports remained at a lower figure.

The total import value increased at an average annual rate of X% from 2012 to 2023; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by X%. Global imports peaked at $X in 2022, and then contracted in the following year.

The purchases of the twelve major importers of glass fibre fabrics, namely France, Mexico, the United States, Germany, India, Turkey, South Korea, Italy, Spain, the UK, Thailand and Russia, represented more than half of total import. Japan (X tons) held a little share of total imports.

From 2012 to 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the leading importing countries, was attained by India (with a CAGR of X%), while imports for the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, the largest glass fibre fabrics importing markets worldwide were Mexico ($X), the United States ($X) and Germany ($X), together comprising X% of global imports. France, South Korea, Italy, the UK, Japan, India, Spain, Turkey, Thailand and Russia lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further X%.

Italy, with a CAGR of X%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, in terms of the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average glass fibre fabrics import price stood at $X per ton in 2023, rising by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2022 an increase of X% against the previous year. Global import price peaked in 2023 and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
